SPORTS AT AECS-5

To inculcate physical culture amongst all students in the school, some physical exercises and yoga postures is conducted on a regular basis during the Physical Education period. Classes in physical education will be conducted during the regular school hours in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by CBSE/AEES. Separate arrangements have been made for special coaching in various games beyond the school hours.

Various games and sports competitions are also conducted. The competitions are conducted class wise. The students are also divided into 4 houses - BHABHA, BOSE, RAMAN and SARABAHI. The houses the winners belong to awarded points. The winning house is awarded with Rolling Trophy after all the competitions are conducted.

ACHIEVEMENT IN SPORTS
  • In the State Level Maharashtra Kick-boxing Championship 2023, held at Dadar, Divyakshi P Patil of Class VI secured Gold Medal in the Sub Junior category.
  • In the Mumbai District Wushu Championship 2023 held at Andheri, Vedeeka Patil of Class VII secured 2nd position in the Sub Junior category. She also won the Silver medal in the Mumbai District Junior Kick-Boxing
  • The school Volleyball team of boys and girls participated in the Inter- AECS tournament held at Narora. In the U-18 Girls, the team secured 2nd position
  • In the Taluka Level Volleyball match for U-14 Boys held at Chedda Nagar, our team competed against 32 schools to clinch the 1st Prize.
  • In the Inter AECS Mumbai level Chess tournament held at AECS -6, Saloni Bandelkar of Class VIII bagged 3rd position.
  • In this Chess tournament, Drishti Gupta of Class V also bagged 3rd position.
  • AECS – 5, Mumbai was also the organizer of the first ever INTER AECS Mumbai Schools Kho Kho Tournament in Mumbai and the School team participated in it. Our school Girls Kho Kho team won the Runners trophy.
